Join N.C. Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center, and the Lewisville Library for an informative workshop that will demystify nutrition food labels!
Do you ever wonder what those numbers on food labels mean? Fat, sodium, and sugar are frequently highlighted, but understanding their quantities and the significance of other nutrients can empower you to make healthier food choices.
In this engaging session, you will learn:
* What do the numbers for fat, sodium, and sugar on food labels indicate?
* Which nutrients you should be paying closer attention to for your health.
* How to interpret basic nutrients listed on labels and understand their impact on your well-being.
* Practical tips for making healthier choices when meal planning, grocery shopping, and in your daily diet.
Presented by Virginia C. Lopez, Family and Consumer Sciences agent of the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center.
Plus, enjoy a fun taste test to experience healthier options firsthand!
