The North Carolina Extension & Community Association (ECA) is a volunteer organization that partners with N.C. Cooperative Extension to empower individuals and families improve their quality of living through continuing education, leadership development and community service.
Mission
The mission of the North Carolina ECA is to strengthen families and communities through:- Leadership Development
- Community Action
- Educational Support
- Research-based education from North Carolina State University and North Carolina A&T State University
MembershipMembership dues are $10.00 per year. New members are always welcome! There are currently three active ECA clubs in and 68 members located in Surry County:
- Beulah Club
- Pilot Mountain Achievers
- Siloam Club
North Carolina Extension and Community Association is part of NVON - the National Volunteer Outreach Network
The National Volunteer Outreach Network is comprised of member organizations working together to promote communication, education, and volunteerism for all people.
The 2025-2027 National Project in Common focuses on Mental Health Awareness and Wellbeing
