This course is intended to improve your understanding of Good Agriculture Practices (GAPs) to guide assessment of risks and implementation of practices to reduce risks on fresh produce farms. A one day (8 hr) workshop to help growers prepare for the GAP Food Safety Certification now required under the Federal Food Safety Modernization Act. Farm safety manuals will be developed to ready growers for GAPs certification. Class size is limited to first 20 participants. Advanced registration is required. We will be using the USDA GAP-GMP audit protocol.
