N.C. Cooperative Extension, Cumberland County Center is excited to announce the return of our ever popular workshop series – Better Living. This series offers workshops with a wide range of topics from gardening, to candlemaking, to cooking and much more!

The 2023 series has a new look with a series of three classes each month that focus on one main topic, but offering workshops with different program subjects.

The Fascinating World of Honey Bees
Wednesday, February 8 from 12-2
Beekeeping is a fun pastime that provides numerous benefits. The basics of beekeeping will be covered with a focus on getting started.
Registration and $5 registration fee due by Feb 6.
Cooking with Honey
Wednesday, February 15 12-2
Honey is a natural food that can be used in many different dishes. During this class a two course meal will be prepared, using honey in each dish.
Registration and $12 registration fee due by Feb 10. Limited class size.
Minding Your Beeswax
Wednesday, February 22 from 12-2
Learn how to make a variety of beautiful all natural candles from beeswax with this hands-on class. Beeswax has been used for centuries to make candles for the home.
Registration and $12 fee registration fee are due by Feb 17. Limited class size.
