Greetings:  On Monday and Tuesday we received operating updates from both NC State University and Craven County Government. I wanted to pass those along to you.

From Director of Extension Dr. Rich Bonanno, as of March 21, 2020, “ALL in-person Extension activities scheduled for the next 60 days should be canceled or postponed unless they can be done online. I recommend not rescheduling events until further guidance is received.”

From a March 24 Craven County press release, “All Craven County Government offices will close to the public effective Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at 8 a.m. with the exception of the Craven County Health Department clinics. While Craven County Government offices will close to the public, Craven County employees will continue to work to ensure the continuity of the essential services Craven County provides for citizens. Craven County employee health and safety, as well as that of our citizens, is paramount and departments are working to ensure work is designed to allow for appropriate social distancing.”

In the coming weeks, we will communicate changes as they occur. Please feel free to contact us with questions or concerns by email, phone, or Facebook. Thanks for your support of Extension and your contributions to the Craven County community, and we will hope for a return to normal operations sooner rather than later.

Tom
