As you’re getting ready to prepare your holiday feast, you may have questions about food safety when cooking that Thanksgiving turkey or ham.
The USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline is a great resource for questions about meat, poultry, or egg products! The hotline is open year-round Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. ET. The hotline is closed on Federal government holidays, however, they are open for special hours on Thanksgiving Day from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. There are also recorded food safety messages that are available 24 hours a day!
