Holiday Food Safety Questions?

— Written By

As you’re getting ready to prepare your holiday feast, you may have questions about food safety when cooking that Thanksgiving turkey or ham.

The USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline is a great resource for questions about meat, poultry, or egg products! The hotline is open year-round Monday through Friday from 10am-4pm ET. The hotline is closed on Federal government holidays, however, they are open for special hours on Thanksgiving Day from 8am-2pm. There are also recorded food safety messages that are available 24 hours a day!

You can reach the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline toll free at 1-888-MPHotline (1-888-674-6854)! You may also visit the link below for more information on the hotline!
